Wandering Roads and Scenic Highways

Being on the road helps you remember the little things. Things you do daily at home and just assume you will do tomorrow or the next day. Like laundry and a daily hot shower. Everything has it's benefits. After spending a very comfortable night with family I was off again. Clean clothes, fresh sheets and smelling pretty good, I decided to take the long way home.

Spent the day driving small highways in northern Tennessee ending up in southern Kentucky.

The views to all sides were inspiring. One road traveled along farm lands and open pastures dotted with houses and barns. Another followed a swift moving creek though the trees and bends in the hills. A rail line ran on the other of its banks. I could not help but wonder what it must be like being the conductors on such a train.

At one point I was high in the mountains looking down at the convergence of rivers.

My day ended at General Burnside State Park in Kentucky. A beautiful campground with river access and loads of trees.

This is the country I call home. I am so jazzed to be able to travel its wandering roads

Beautiful country. The rock face with your bus parked there is a great picture of a beautiful place.
