Morning at the International Quilt Museum

Updated: Nov 27, 2021

I spent the morning wandering the quilt museum in Pachuca. What an amazing place!

If I lived there I would definitely be volunteering. It would be great to spend time around the outstanding and amazing art; but the visitors delight and creative outlet is just as interesting.

Sadly, I did not take any pictures. I was just awestruck. I also know my pictures can not do justice to some of the phenomenal art work on display. The 9/11 exhibit was visiting along with a display of Covid quilts and miniatures that defy creation.

It was very cool to see quilts I have seen only in pictures hanging on the walls.

This is a must visit for quilters. The museum allows overnight parking in their lot for RVs and contained campers. There are shops, restaurants, bars and hotels all within walking distance.

The river wall contains murals worthy of contemplation and the Episcopal Church down the street is worth the walk.

It is a great place to spend a day or two.
